Sustainability and the environment is not taken lightly at Block.

We take great care to ensure all our products adhere to the highest possible standards in environmental timber flooring.

Responsible use

The production of multiplanks requires up to three times less noble wood than solid floors require. Some people still believe only solid floors last into the next generation. This is a misconception. On average, wood floors sanded once every twelve years. Our 14mm multiplanks can be sanded up to three times.

Forest Regeneration

Every order placed through Made by Block contributes to the Carbon Neutral Plant-A-Tree Program. We actively support and fund the planting of mixed native species in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor through our commitment as a contributing partner in the Carbon Neutral Plant-a-Tree Program who are certified to remove 1.059M tonnes of CO2-e from the atmosphere over 50 years.

This program has a positive impact on climate change and directly contributes to the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
